A typical day at Little Lamps Nursery is filled with plenty of learning and fun activities, extracurricular programs, nutritious meals, and our all-inclusive approach.
The day starts at 8:00 am, where children are welcomed warmly and settle in to have our rolling breakfast.
Morning and Afternoon Activities
Our prepared environment is planned according to the children’s needs and interests. The teachers by providing enriched planned activities always encourage the children to try their best to meet their learning objectives, Activities involve phonics circles, messy and malleable play, storytimes, role play, heuristic, and sensory exploration, science experiments, physical activities, and extra-curricular sessions both indoors and outdoors.
Our free-flow allows circle times and small key person sessions to take place, where activities are both adult-led and child-initiated. A range of large group and small key person time takes place, both. The activities are planned for both individual and group work to ensure their personal development and social needs are met.
Snack Time
Children have open access to water stations both indoors and outdoors and children are offered water from their individual water beakers throughout the day. We ensure Snack times are social times and children have ample opportunities for learning and the promotion of social skills. Therefore, snack times are held in a variety of ways including self-serve and preparation snack times, rolling snack times, canteen-style snack times, either indoors or outdoors.
Lunch
A hot two-course Lacto-Vegetarian warm lunch is served. Lunchtimes are also social times, therefore children learn to lay the table, practice good table manners and handle their cutlery correctly.
Rest Time
Toddlers take a nap after lunch, while older children choose to have quiet time, rest, or continue with their work.
Home Time
We love to share your child’s achievements and daily activities with you, therefore feedback is given to each parent/carer at collection time.
