Communication and language
Communication is at the heart of human interaction. We create opportunities that focus on communication skills through creative play, stories, rhymes, and circle times.
We encourage children to listen and pay attention to activities by following simple instructions and taking on leadership roles that require listening to instructions, understand the role, and at the same time communicate what is required to peers.
Physical Development
At Little Lamps Nursery we provide children space and freedom to use large muscles, through activities such as running, climbing, and swinging on playground equipment. Children are also encouraged to use small muscles through cutting, sticking, puzzles, and playdough.
In our outdoor space, we work on balancing and keeping steady games, running, and going around obstacles. We also encourage resilience and the attitude of keeping on trying and not giving up.
